‘Sup!

I’m Shuu’enNoOu and new here, yea kinda like the above guy who will be having his debut this saturday.

Right, so I’m here to discuss about the EXCEED MONSTERS.

It shouldn’t be a big news to long-time Yu-Gi-Oh! players, but as for those who don’t know, here’s what they are:-

1. Exceed monsters reside in the Extra Deck, similar to Synchro monsters and Fusion monsters.
2. They have Rank instead of Level, depicted by a row of stars from the left to right instead of the other way round.
3. They can be summoned so long as there are two or more monsters of the same level on the field that corresponds to the rank of the exceed monster you intend to summon. Pile the monsters together and put the exceed monster on top of the stack.
4. The above stated is called Exceed Summon, a new kind of Special Summon and an Exceed Monster cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or Removed From Game unless it was properly Exceed Summoned first.
5. Exceed monsters summoned in ways other than Exceed Summoning will not have any exceed material monster under it.
6. Tokens cannot be used as a exceed material monsters. Trap monsters, however, can.
7. Some effects requires you to remove a exceed material monsters from Exceed monster. In that case, the exceed material monster is removed from the pile and send to the Graveyard. However, the monster sent in this way will not activate any graveyard effect, if that monster have any. Monsters that have effect that activates when sent from the field to the graveyard will not activates (e.g: Sangan). However, Dandylion can, as it’s effect activates when it’s sent to the graveyard.
8. Exceed monsters without material monsters underneath it will have negative effects.
9. When an Exceed monster is flipped face-down, the Exceed Material monsters will not be removed.
10. Exceed Material monsters are not considered ‘Monster’ cards when removed from the field (e.g: Dimension Fissure only affects the Exceed Monster, while Macro Cosmos affects both the Exceed monster and the Material as it affects all cards).

That should be the most of it. More news should be accompanying the new deck and Exceed Summoning will be made even clear.

Well, until then, stay cool!

Shuu’enNoOu, signing out…

Edit: It seems that there’s a delay to the shipment of the decks due to the disaster in Japan. There has been no news to when the deck will be arriving.

Edit 2: Alright, news that next week the deck will be arriving in Singapore. Look forward to it!
