December 1st, Card of the Day

Whooo yeah, Igneel has arrived. It’s not a very desirable ability for someone like him, but hey, it’s Igneel. He’s an extremely expensive support to have, and there is a good reason for that cost, too.

The top card is “Fire Dragon Igneel”, 2/2, 6k power, 2 soul, soul trigger, Magic and Dragon traits.

[Continuous] Support All of your Dragon trait characters in front of this card gains +2k power.

With this support, Dragon decks are now fully capable of tearing through any foe. A huge +4k boost to your middle card is not something to be trifled with. This completely blows a level buffer out of the water, but the cost is pretty steep if you are willing to go all-in with two Igneels.

The other card is Commander of G4 Kokoro, 0/0, 500 power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Police and Mask traits.

[Continuous] Support All of your cards in front of this card gets +500 power.
[Automatic] Change (3, Place this card in Waiting Room) During the start of your Draw Phase, you may pay the stated cost. If you do, select one “Yokohama’s Guardian Kokoro” from your Waiting Room and place it onto the original slot of this card.

Draw Phase change galore, true to Milky Holmes’ nature. The 3 cost is quite steep for a change at level 0, so I suppose Yokohama’s Guardian should be a level 2 at least? Wow. Does this card remind of a certain Relations?

November 30th, Card of the Day

More Fairy Tail cards! Now featuring our dear armor-changing heroine, Erza! I was expecting something more relevant to her ability of rapid changing, but this is an okay debut for her in the Fairy Tail EP anyway.

“Robe of Yuen” Erza, 2/2, 8k power, 2 soul, soul trigger, Magic and Weapon traits.

[Continuous] If you have three other “Magic” trait characters on your Stage, this card gains +1k power,
[Automatic] When the climax “It’s Always Gentle There” is played on your Climax Area, and this card is in your Front Stage, select up to 2 cards from your opponent’s Waiting Room; return them to his Deck, then Shuffle his Deck.

The other dude is “Perfume Magic” Ichiya, 0/0, 2k power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Magic and Rose traits.

[Continuous] If you have no other characters on your Stage, this card gains +2k power.
[Automatic] (1) When this card becomes Reversed in battle, you may pay the stated cost. If you do, place this card into your Memory Area.

November 29th, Card of the Day

Contrary to the badass Natsu’s card we saw yesterday, today’s card of the day is a lot more mild and less fearsome, but still, wow, a really powerful card. In fact, this Fairy Tail card may literally be the Key (no pun intended!) to all Lucy decks!

The green card is “12 Zodiac Celestial Spirits”, 1/1, 2k power, 1 soul, soul trigger, Magic and Key traits.

[Automatic] Memory When this card is used as a “Backup”, and there are two or more “Magic” trait characters in your Memory Area, you may select one of your battling characters; it gains +1.5k power until the end of this turn.
[Automatic] (Counter) Backup 1500 Level 1

Wow, simply fantastic. Since Lucy-based decks play on Memory, you just got yourself a +3k counter at level 1! How sick is that? Remember the Key counter event that most Lucy decks used to run? Well, it’s time to throw that out and use something way more searchable!

The red card is Tsugiko, 0/0, 2.5k power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Police and Weapon traits.

[Automatic] (2) When this card is played from your Hand to your Stage, you may pay the stated cost. If you do, return 1 character with an [Experience] ability from your Waiting Room back to your Hand.

Oh yes, Police-based salvage, just what we need. Common targets for this card are the 1/0 Hirano and Saku, and the infamous 2/2 Kokoro.

November 28th, Card of the Day

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I wake up only to witness an awesomely powerful Natsu sitting on the main website! Look at how badass he is! His ability may not be the favorite for people who love to bash with power, but his ability is able to substantially heighten your winning rate.

“The Power of Allies” Natsu, 3/2, 10k power, 2 soul, soul trigger, Magic and Dragon traits.

[Automatic] When this card is played from your Hand to your Stage, and you have three or more other ‘Magic’ trait characters on your field, you may place the top card of your Deck to your Stock.
[Automatic] When this card gets Front Attacked, you may look at the top card of your Deck; you may place it in your Waiting Room or leave it at the top of your Deck.

The event is “Gurren Ho-oh Ken” (Crimson Lotus Phoenix Blade), 2/2, no soul trigger, Counter symbol (This card can be played in response to a Front Attack by your opponent). Choose one of your Magic trait characters; it gains +6.5k power until the end of turn. Send this card to your Memory Area.

Natsu’s ability triggers every time he gets Front Attacked, henceforth, if you see that your top card is not a climax, you can mill it away, taking away 1 potential damage, and at the same time, heightening your cancel rate! And as for the event… wow. This pretty much solves any power problems Natsu may have. It’s a one-off thing, since it goes to Memory; but for such a huge power boost, it’s a good trade-off, and you can easily steamroll any competition with the use of this card.

November 24th, Card of the Day

It’s the Thunder God Tribe from Fairy Tail! Who can forget these guys who are under Laxus’s charge?

The only female in the team is “Stone Eyes” Evergreen, 0/0, 2k power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Magic and Glasses traits.

[Automatic] When this card declares a direct attack, you can select up to 1 of your opponent’s Front Stage level 0 and below characters; that character doesn’t Stand during your opponent’s following Stand Phase.

True to her real ability, this ability locks down a level 0 character from Standing the following turn. On top of that, it’s a level 0, so it’s an extremely powerful card to use in case you are unable to overpower the level 0 that’s staring in your face. Not only that, he won’t be able to fight with it the following turn, and is forced to play down another level 0 to defeat Evergreen.

The middle guy is “Dark Ecriture” Freed, 1/0, 5k power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Magic and Weapon traits.

[Startup] (2) During this turn, this card gains +2k power, and your opponent will not be able to use any “[Automatic] Encore” abilities.

The last guy is “Seith Magic Human Possession” Bickslow, 0/0, 500 power, 1 soul, no soul trigger, Magic and Doll traits.

[Continuous] Support All of your characters in front of this card get +500 power.
[Startup] (2) Search for up to one level 0 or below ‘Magic’ trait character and play it to any slot on your Stage, then shuflfle your deck.

As for the guys, Freed definitely comes up on top with his Startup encore sealing ability, and given Fairy Tail’s Startup-liking nature to add even more to it’s cards, this card will give encore-based strategies a hard time to cope.

November 23rd, Card of the Day

Today we are presented with a pair of cards, both green, one being an event from Fairy Tail, and the other from Milky Holmes.  Never would you have imagined Saku being this mischievous looking, I suppose? This card totally proved us wrong.

The green event card is “Love and Luc(k)y”, 2/0, no soul trigger. Reveal the top card of your Deck. If  it is a a ‘Key’ trait character, send it to your Stock,  then select one of your characters; it gains +3k power until the end of this turn. (Return it back to the top of the deck if the revealed card isn’t a Key trait character.) Thereafter, send this card to Stock.

The character is “Trick Loving Witch Saku”, 2/2, 8.5k power, 2 soul, soul trigger, Police and Headphone Traits.

[Continuous] Experience If the total level of the cards in your level area s 3 or higher, this card gains +1k power.

Milky Holmes Police is steadily getting more and more boring. All of their cards are now merely about power and more power, and Saku demonstrated that once more. Can’t we have more fun effects like a certain Arsene now? On top of that, there is little reason to use this over the booster’s 2/2 Hirano, but each to it’s own.
